To all in New Orleans or vicinity, I am very excited to announced that Octavia Books is hosting me at 6 p.m. on July 23 for a reading/signing event for my trilogy of satirical literary fiction, the Mad Jones/Accidental Prophet trilogy:
The novels takes place largely along the Gulf Coast, with some of the most memorable scenes being in New Orleans — including one in front of Jackson Square featuring a mime, a lady with a pet iguana with a bonnet on its head, and other exotica. Together, they are satire on modern religion, media, and politics, with turn-of-the-millennium craziness entering into play as well (it takes place from 1998-2001).
