This is a perfect example of why the feckless Republican leadership of the U.S. Senate needs to be replaced by men of principle such as (for one example) Alabama’s Jeff Sessions, and why we can’t expect many major victories in Washington unless and until principled conservative president provides leadership that forces a GOP Senate to fall in line. Religious liberty should be non-negotiable. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell won’t even acknowledge where it is being trampled.
