The photo here is of one of the Iron Dome anti-missile installations outside of Ashkelon, Israel. I stood about 80-100 yards away from this very unit yesterday, while getting a briefing from former Brigadier Gen. Shafir. Later that day, Hamas fired more than 40 missiles at Israel (a bunch more, apparently, this morning), including a couple towards Ashkelon. By then, I was back in Jerusalem. But we got a missile siren here as well, which I reported at National Review Online. Later, it was reported that the missile aimed in the vicinity of Jerusalem had been intercepted… yes, by Iron Dome. What a great system. It has helped keep Israel safe.

Much more, later.
