The photo is of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site(s) believed to be where the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection took place.

Yesterday we also stood on the Mount of Olives, looked down on (and then drove right by) the Garden of Gethsemane, and spent a whole lot of time in the truly amazing City of David, unearthed through archaeological work just in the past 10 years. (Much more on that, later.) We also went to the Western Wall (actually, to two parts of it — one underground). I also rode a camel for about four minutes. (I can’t wait to post a photo of THAT!)

Much more later. I don’t have time now for details or descriptions; consider this post just the equivalent of a movie trailer. It’s just shy of 7 a.m. in Jerusalem, and I have a long day ahead.

Shalom.
