HELLO, EVERYBODY. For five weeks, whether you noticed or not, you have seen no new entries on this website, much less received the weekly newsletter if you subscribe. Software problems stemming from some of those ceaseless “updates” from the browser company, etcetera, made the site unworkable. Now we have at least this temporary fix.
So, below are links to six pieces published in the meantime, all at the Times-Picayune/Advocate. The first three are T-P/Advocate official institutional editorials of interest. Just follow the links in the headlines for the whole stories. I fear some of them are behind a paywall, but you may find that the T-P subscription is remarkably inexpensive for the quality of articles my colleagues publish — so I urge you to consider it. (I make no money directly from your subscription, and none from this site, either.)
Anyway, first, the three editorials:
Oct. 16: Moreno’s victory offers chance for civic unity
Nov. 10: The NFL’s Paul Tagliabue was a godsend for the Saints
Oct. 22: Speaker Johnson should do his duty and swear in new elected representative
Now, three of my person columns:
Oct. 27: Scold that Tiger! LSU should not have fired Coach Kelly midseason
Nov. 2: Supreme Court case on guns and marijuana is quite important
Oct. 22: Listen to military leaders: Trump is wrong to use military as police
