I’m a chronic complainer about the Saints, and of course I join most New Orleanians in finding very, very little to like about the Saints’ performance this year, from general manager on down, starting with the worst draft in years.
But I hereby predict that the Saints will beat the Steelers on Sunday.
Safety Pierre Warren will progress much like offensive tackle Terron Armstead did late last year: rapidly. I expect Warren to take a hugely important turnover from Pittsburgh.
Robert Meachem will make a very big play.
Cam Jordan will finally wake from his slumber and repeatedly put pressure on Ben Roethlisberger.
Nick Toon will score a touchdown.
The Saints will finally run back a kickoff or punt at least 50 yards.
Tyrunn Walker will make a key sack.
Drew Brees will go a whole game without an interception.
The Saints’ defense will make a fourth-down stop.
The Saints will win, something like 31-27.
You heard it here first.
