Chris Sununu is 100% right to say Trump is an absolute loser (April 23): New Hampshire’s uber-popular Republican governor Chris Sununu put it plainly on NBC’s Meet the Press: “Donald Trump is a loser.”
Before that, Sununu had rightly rebuked all the pundits who say the GOP presidential nomination for 2024 is a done deal. “Most folks don’t decide who they are voting for until about three weeks before the election,” he said. And he is right. ….
Fox News’ settlement avoids creation of bad First Amendment precedent (April 18): When the Dominion voting machine company settled its defamation suit this afternoon against Fox News, the whole country benefited by avoiding a bad precedent on First Amendment press freedoms.
A bad precedent could have been set if the case had reached a verdict for either side. Without a settlement, there was almost no possible outcome that would have avoided great mischief down the line.
Yet let’s not mince words: Fox was wrong in how it presented the topic of then-President Donald Trump’s lies that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Deeply, unethically wrong…..
